Distillery Information

Launched in 2020, Kiss: Black Diamond is named after the iconic song from the band's debut album. It's a blend of Caribbean rums from the Dominican Republic, Barbados, Guyana, and Guatemala.
Rums originated in the West Indies and are first mentioned in records from Barbados in about 1650. They were called “kill-devil” or “rumbullion” and by 1667 were simply called rum.Light rums tend to originate from countries originally colonised by the Spanish, such as Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. Heavy rums traditionally come from former French and English colonies, including Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Barbados, Guyana and the Virgin Islands.
Internationally acclaimed Master Blender for Brands For Fans, Daniel Henriksson, has together with the band created a balanced yet impactful rum that is equally appealing to rum-afficionados as well as discerning KISS fans all around the world.
After five to six days in fermentation, the resulting “wash” is transferred to our 500-gal pot still, where the liquid is heated to separate the alcohols. The still converts the alcohols to vapor form and then returns it to liquid through a condenser.Typically made from molasses, Cuban distilleries make Spanish-style rum dry and aged for at least two years in oak barrels before being charcoal filtered for its clear color. The result is a light rum perfect for daiquiris.
