Nikka Coffey Vodka, with its spicy notes, rich sweetness and milky mouthfeel, perfectly captures the purest expression of the Miyagikyo Distillery's "Coffey Stills." The final blend is perfected with minimal filtration using white birch charcoal to ensure precise balance and smooth texture.
Corn and barley are separately distilled into various batches with slight difference in ABV and taste profile. These batches are carefully blended by experts and then refined with white birch charcoal.
Nikka also happens to own Scotland's Ben Nevis Distillery, and while current batches of Coffey Malt are fully distilled and aged in Japan, earlier batches had some Ben Nevis distillate.Masataka Taketsuru, known as the father of Japanese whisky, founded the Nikka distillery in the 1930s. Today you can visit the original factory, in Yoichi, a town west of Sapporo, close to Otaru.
Founded by Masataka Taketsuru in 1934 with the construction of the Yoichi Malt Distillery, the House of Nikka has not only produced whiskey as it has also distilled gin and vodka for several decades.
